Developers throughout the Sun.Sea.Strip give thanks this November as the market continues to buzz

Sun Donald Trump and partner Bayrock Group have the green light to begin construction of their $200 million luxury condo-hotel in Phoenix at 26th Street and Camelback Road. Trump's proposal, as well as plans for a high-end residential tower across the street at Westcor's Biltmore Fashion Park, got the thumb's up when the Phoenix City Council voted to raise height limits in the Camelback Corridor-Rumor has it famed automaker DaimlerChrysler will sell its 5,500- acres proving ground in the Northwest Valley. The land may be converted into master-planned community expected to rival Vistancia in Peoria and Verrado in Buckeye. The new mega development would include 18,000 to 33,000 homes on the test track north of Surprise. No word yet on which top developer will speed away with the...Bella Terra at Paradise Valley opens in December 2005. The property currently called City Place is undergoing a complete renovation and will be replaced with luxury condos on the border of Scottsdale and Paradise Valley. Standard amenities include granite and stainless steel, state-of-the-art appliances, spacious floor plans and mountain views. The property also includes a garden terrace with pool and spa. and a business center. Prices run in the low-$200s to mid $300s...Filming recently wrapped at the Montelucia resort for a new Peter Fonda independent film, Japan. The film will act as the last hurrah for the existing buildings of the former Doubletree La Posada Resort. Demolition of the remaining La Posada buildings took place in early October...Final touches are being done on the revitalized Hotel Valley Ho, scheduled for a December 2005 opening. This retro hotspot, which once played host to stars like Marilyn Monroe, will feature many of the same trendy concepts that made it so unique 50 years ago, such as all-glass walls that open onto patios. In addition to the hotel, a seven-story residential tower will offer some of the most glamorous housing in Downtown Scottsdale. Housing units will include one- and two-story lofts, one- and two- bedroom condominiums and penthouses...Phase One of the 1.1 million-square- foot Scottsdale Waterfront project is scheduled to open this month. The project includes two- and three-story office and retail buildings, as well as one eight-story and two 13-story residential buildings. Tenants will include P.F. Chang's, Pink Taco, Border's Books. Eddie V's and Sauce Restaurant. |
