HOTEL VALLEY HO’S JUDY KABLER NAMEDOUTSTANDING MANAGER OF THE YEAR

SCOTTSDALE, AZ – Hotel Valley Ho’s concierge, Judy Kabler, has been named Outstanding Manager of the Year for 2009. Judy was recognized at the Stars of the Industry awards on Wednesday, December 16, held by the Arizona Hotel & Lodging Association at the Phoenician.

“I feel privileged that Judy is our concierge”, said Andrew Chippindall, general manager of Hotel Valley Ho. “As an active member of Les Clefs d’Or and Valley of the Sun Concierge Network, she is an amazing and passionate individual who truly makes the Valley Ho a unique and outstanding property while making all guests feel welcome and comfortable.”

Judy was very humble about winning the award. “I’m privileged to work at such a fine property and to have such a wonderful management that supports me”, she said. “It’s not just about the destination, but more about the experience that a guest has. My job is to create unique memories for our guests so that they will want to return.”

The Stars of the Industry awards program has been recognizing outstanding members of the hotel industry for over 40 years. Employee awards include Guest Service Employee of the Year, Housekeeping/Engineering/Maintenance Employee of the Year, Lodging Employee of the Year, Food & Beverage/Sales/Catering Employee of the year, and Outstanding Manager of the Year. Sanctuary on Camelback Mountain, the sister property to the Hotel Valley Ho, was also recognized; their Director of Housekeeping was named Outstanding Manager of the Year for a Small Property.

Judy has received many accolades throughout her career, including the 2001 Silver Plume Awards Distinguished Service Award, 2006 Silver Plume Awards Concierge of the Year Award, Scottsdale Plaza Employee of the Year and Month, and the Scottsdale Chamber of Commerce Outstanding Performance in the Hospitality Industry Award.
