SCOTTSDALE, AZ – VH Spa for Vitality + Health at Hotel Valley Ho in Downtown Scottsdale has named Margo Altman assistant spa director.
Margo’s new duties will include managing spa hosts; assisting the spa director with daily accounting, operations, and creative input; and developing/managing the employee fitness program. She will continue to assist with reception, reservations, retail, and facilities as well. “I'm so excited to have this new challenge in my career,” Margo said. “I have really enjoyed working at the hotel and especially the spa.”
Margo started at Hotel Valley Ho in the summer of 2008, when she worked as a server at Trader Vic’s, and occasionally at ZuZu and in the banquets department. Margo joined VH Spa in the spring of 2010 as a spa host, greeting guests and assisting them with reservations and other needs. She was later promoted to spa supervisor and assisted with training other spa employees. The assistant spa director position became available in December 2011, at which time Margo was promoted.
Before coming to the hotel, Margo worked as a personal chef, and prior to that she had her own business selling custom stone furniture. She holds both culinary and Bachelor of Science degrees.
