SCOTTSDALE, AZ – Richard Garcia has been named the new chef de cuisine of ZuZu at Hotel Valley Ho.
A graduate of Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts in Scottsdale, Richard joined Hotel Valley Ho as part of the opening team in December 2005. After a year and a half, he left to cook at the Eldorado Hotel & Spa in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Richard returned to Hotel Valley Ho in October 2010 as sous chef of Trader Vic’s.
Richard has been proven to be a driving force in the hotel’s culinary programs, most recently working as the banquet and catering chef. His knowledge, technical skills, and passion for food make him a perfect fit for his new role. He is responsible for orchestrating all aspects of the cuisine and will be incorporating even more seasonal, organic fruits and vegetables; grains; pristine fish; and vibrant salads into the menu.
About ZuZu: ZuZu at Hotel Valley Ho features seasonal American fare, made with fresh, local ingredients. Booth and table seating is available inside, as well as shaded dining on the patio. There’s also a stylish lounge, community table, and floor-to-ceiling glass that can be opened to let the outside in.
