Wondering where the locals like to hang out? A few of our staff share the inside scoop on their favorite spots around the Valley:
Charles Wiley, Executive Chef of ZuZu and Food & Beverage Director
The hottest new salon in Old Town Scottsdale is The Waverly. Talented stylists, cool modern design, and great music. I love it! If you decide to go, tell them I sent you.
Judy Kabler, Chef Concierge
I love Beckett’s Table. When you enter the restaurant, you almost feel like you're in someone’s home. They serve seasonal American food that features fresh produce from local farmers. My favorite meal is the signature Fork Tender Short Ribs with creamy mashed potatoes, green beans, and a red wine herb reduction, finished off with the Chocolate Dipped Bacon S'mores served with caramel, housemade marshmallow, whipped peanut butter and graham cracker. Chef Justin Beckett describes his food as something you can make at home but he can cook it better, which is so very true!
Margo Altman, Assistant Spa Director
Postino in the Arcadia neighborhood is wonderful! It's in an old post office that has been converted into a restaurant and wine bar, complete with roll-up doors that give it a charming indoor-outdoor feel. They have an ever-changing and affordable wine list, and bruschetta that is to die for! Dogs are always welcome on the patio, and there is even a place to lock up your bicycle.
The pizza at Grazie is really good, and the restaurant is just across the street from the hotel. I’m also a huge fan of the Polynesian food and cocktails at Hula’s Modern Tiki, which just opened a location in Old Town Scottsdale. If you like art, the Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art (SMoCA) is a must see. Plus, you can get free admission for two if you show your room key!

Downtown Tempe is one of my favorite places to hang out, just a 15-minute drive from the hotel. House of Tricks has a great seasonal menu and consistently delicious cocktails. It’s perfect for a romantic dinner, or you can stop by for lunch on the patio. Not far from there is Tempe Town Lake, my favorite place to run, walk my dog, and ride my bike. A Mountain is right there too; you can combine the two and have a nice few hours for free and also get your fitness on! Ncounter is a nice, quick breakfast and lunch spot just down the street.

Sunday brunch at The Mission is awesome...whole roasted pig! They have an impressive menu of modern Latin food. Bootleggers is a smokehouse that has moonshine and some of the most unique uses of barbecue in the Valley. Both spots have a cool atmosphere and are walking distance from the hotel.
